As the audience lines up, the adrenaline rises, murmurs of excitement, fans dressed up in banana costumes… including the Pope?

Good Kid returns to their hometown, Toronto, performing at The Danforth Music Hall for two nights in a row, amassing hometown fans and those visiting. This stop was part of their “Can We Hang Out Tour” promoting their newest 2026 album, Can We Hang Out Sometime? along with the release of their single, “Cicada.”

Warming up the crowd was the San Antonio, Texas band, INOHA, with their indie pop and surf rock tunes. Formed in 2023, they had their breakthrough song, “Seventh Heaven,” which went viral on social media. The band’s summer vibing vocals and soothing guitar riffs proved that they weren’t just an online sensation, but every bit as compelling live, more than worthy of being the Good Kid’s opener.

As the fans waited for their headliner to perform, a screen tailored to entertaining their young fan base was brought to the stage. Titled the Retention Cam with several different videos playing at the same time, GTA 5 car crash videos and Subway Surfers gameplay to Family Guy clips, the crowd cheered and booed depending on which screen they were looking at. Good Kid entered as the audience cheered their hearts out and chanted along to the melodic lyrics of their songs. Crowd surfers went crazy, beach balls bounced all over the venue, and bubbles floated into the crowd, capturing an unforgettable night for those attending as Good Kid gave it everything they had to their home, Toronto.
