A Marvelous Party finds the New York-based jazz vocal trio DuchessAmy Cervini, Hilary Gardner and Melissa Stylianou — returning with their first full-length album in six years. Released on Anzic Records, the recording is a joyous celebration of friendship, harmony and the enduring power of swing.

The album unfolds as a concept record, tracing the arc of a memorable evening out through classic songs associated with the Rat Pack era and beyond. From the exuberance of “This Could Be the Start of Something Big” and “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head” to the reflective mood of “Is That All There Is?” and the warmth of “Danke Schoen,” the program captures the many emotions of a night spent in good company.

Central to the album’s sound are the inventive arrangements of Grammy-nominated producer and arranger Oded Lev-Ari, whose writing brings together Duchess’s signature vocal blend with a rhythm section and five-piece horn section. The result is a vibrant, big-band-inspired sound that highlights both the trio’s impeccable musicianship and their playful sense of humour.

Since forming in 2013, Duchess has earned international acclaim for its seamless harmonies, inspired by groups such as the Boswell Sisters and the Andrews Sisters. Critics, including The New Yorker, DownBeat and The Wall Street Journal, have praised the trio’s warmth, swing and infectious chemistry. To celebrate the release of A Marvelous Party, Duchess will perform an album launch concert at Birdland in New York City on June 14, 2026.
