Deep Dish Return to Global Underground With New Mix Album ‘#GU49 Dublin’
Electronic music icons Deep Dish have reunited with Global Underground for the highly anticipated release of ‘#GU49 Dublin.’
Electronic music icons Deep Dish have reunited with Global Underground for the highly anticipated release of GU49: Dublin, available now across streaming platforms, CD, vinyl, and a special limited collector’s edition.
The new release marks a landmark moment for the legendary duo, completing a trilogy that began with the acclaimed #GU21 Moscow and continued with #GU25 Toronto. Now, more than 25 years later, Sharam and Dubfire close the chapter with a new mix inspired by the vibrant culture and nightlife of Dublin.
Known for their groundbreaking contributions to progressive house and techno, Deep Dish deliver another immersive journey with #GU49 Dublin. The release features expertly curated selections alongside a brand-new exclusive Deep Dish remix of Eating Hooks by Moderat.
The remix has already received support from major names in electronic music, including Pete Tong, Sasha, Adam Beyer, Damian Lazarus, and Hernan Cattaneo.
Deep Dish shares their thoughts on the project in a statement:
“We have been fortunate enough to play some of Dublin’s most iconic rooms. There’s an emotional openness and cultural understanding in Dublin that aligns naturally with who we are and how we approach music. Recording this Global Underground felt like honouring that shared history while capturing where we are now.”
Andy Horsfield, founder of Global Underground, also commented on the significance of the release:
“It is a real landmark for GU to finally release Deep Dish Dublin to the world and mark the last chapter in what has been an esteemed trilogy of mixes from Ali and Sharam. With Moscow, Toronto and now Dublin, the trilogy is complete!”
The expansive two-disc collection features music from artists including:
Guy J
Franky Wah
Monolink
Culoe De Song
