Dayseeker’s “Pale Moonlight Tour” Plunges Vancouver Into a Post-Hardcore Frenzy [Photos]

Dayseeker and “The Pale Moonlight Tour” rocked Vancouver’s legendary Commodore Ballroom last week.

The post-hardcore band packed the Commodore and brought three other bands to help. A West Coast duo that goes by the name Sace6 was the first to take the stage.

With a mix of pop, R&B and metal, the band, unknown to many in the building, surprised with their sound and on-stage energy. They started their set with “Nepenthe.” They performed five songs from their debut album, Brutalist, released earlier this year.

Wind Walkers, not strangers to the city, were the next ones on stage. They opened their set with “Drowning Hymns” and “The End Aesthetic.” Their rhythm was what the fans needed to start crowd-surfing and mosh-pitting.

They closed out their set with two songs from their 2023 project, “What If I Break?,” “Bodybag,” and “Hangfire.”

The heavy hitters were showing up, and it was Northlane time. The group, the land down under, open their set with “Carbonized.” They put on a crazy show as always, and during their set, the fans got rowdier, and crowd surfing reached a level where the security guards in the pit were almost running out of hands.

They closed their set with a medley of “Worldeater,” “Dispossession,” “Solar,” and “Clockwork.”

The clock struck 9:30 pm, and it was time for the main event. Dayseeker opened with “Pale Moonlight.” A few songs in, they performed a cover of “The Ghost of You” by My Chemical Romance as an introduction for “Forgotten Ghost.”

They closed their set with “Creature in the Black Night” and “Sleeptalk” but had to return to the stage and performed “Neon Grave” for the encore.
