Matt McCormick & Mike Tyson Announce ‘Past The Line – Judgment Day’ Fine Art Print Collection
Visual artist Matt McCormick and boxing legend Mike Tyson have unveiled a new collaborative project titled ‘Past The Line – Judgment Day.’
Renowned visual artist Matt McCormick and boxing legend Mike Tyson have unveiled a new collaborative project titled Past The Line – Judgment Day, a limited-edition blind-pack fine art print collection inspired by one of the most iconic moments in boxing history.
The collection commemorates November 22nd, 1986, when a 20-year-old Tyson defeated Trevor Berbick by second-round TKO in Las Vegas to become the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history.
Fans and collectors can learn more about the project at Past The Line.
Rather than functioning as traditional sports memorabilia, Judgment Day is positioned as a collectible fine art series that reframes Tyson’s historic victory as a cultural artifact. McCormick’s artwork focuses not on the violence of the bout itself, but on the emotional aftermath — the fleeting pause when Tyson’s victory became inevitable and boxing history changed forever.
McCormick, whose exhibitions have appeared in cities including New York, Hong Kong, Miami, Tokyo, and Aspen, is known for exploring themes of mythology, Americana, and contemporary cultural identity through his visual work.
According to the announcement, the project captures “the instant before the win was called and Tyson’s impact on boxing became irreversible.”
Each Judgment Day pack contains one blind-packed fine art print, meaning buyers won’t know which variant they’ve received until opening it.
Two editions are available:
Gold Pack:
- Every print is hand-signed by both Matt McCormick and Mike Tyson.
- Fully blind-packed with randomized variants.
Silver Pack:
- Every print is hand-signed by Matt McCormick.
- Features a wider pool of collectible variants.
Each print is individually numbered, with edition sizes clearly indicated to emphasize rarity and collectability.
Tyson’s 1986 victory over Trevor Berbick marked the beginning of one of boxing’s most dominant eras. He would later unify the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles, cementing his status as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and one of the most recognizable athletes in sports history.
The Past The Line – Judgment Day project aims to preserve the emotional weight and cultural mythology surrounding that historic moment through contemporary visual art.
