Fit For A King brought their “Lonely God Tour” to Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom.
The metalcore powerhouse returned to Vancouver for what, at this point, looks like an annual encounter, as they have been to not just Vancouver but the Commodore as well over the past three years.
The English band Acres took the stage first. They open their set with “Not So Different” from the latest project, The Host. They performed six songs, closing with “Bloodlust” and “Lost.”
Continuing the international display, Ten56. were next on stage. Coming from France and making their debut on Canadian soil, they displayed a high-intensity show for the fans. They started their set with “Doormat” followed by “Diazepam.” They closed their set with “Boy.”
Invent Animate were the next ones up, and as soon as they started playing “Absence Persistent,” the crowd went crazy. They came out wearing their usual white clothing, injecting great energy into the fans.
Midset, they performed “How We Used To Say Goodbye” and closed with “Without a Whisper” and “Immolation of Night.”
The stage was set, and the crowd warmed up for Fit For a King. They opened with “Begin the Sacrifice.” Ryan Kirby, the main vocalist, mentioned that they were happy to be back in a place that, at this point, feels like home.
The band kept on the show with songs like “God of Fire,” “Breaking the Mirror,” “No Tomorrow,” and “When Everything Means Nothing,” closing their set with “Witness the End.”
