The Nth Power Release Their Single & Video “Simple Life”
The Nth Power has released their new single “Simple Life” and its accompanying music video from their new album ‘Never Alone.’
“Simple Life” arrives with an easy swing, but there’s more going on beneath the surface than its laid-back feel might suggest. The Nth Power have built a reputation on groove, and this new single sharpens that identity without overcomplicating it.
The track opens up quickly, giving the rhythm section room to establish a steady pulse. Nate Edgar’s bass anchors everything, while Nikki Glaspie’s drumming keeps things fluid rather than rigid. It feels lived-in from the start.
Then the horns come in. The Soul Rebels don’t treat this like a guest spot. They integrate themselves into the track, adding shape and momentum that push the song forward. Their presence shifts the energy without disrupting the band’s core sound.
Lyrically, the song reflects a reset. Edgar has described writing it during a period of reevaluation, and that mindset carries through. The message is clear without being overstated. It’s about stripping things down to what matters and letting go of the noise.
Nick Cassarino and Glaspie share vocal duties, which gives the track a sense of dialogue. Their voices complement each other in a way that feels natural rather than arranged. It reinforces the song’s central idea of balance.
As a follow-up to “Dream Alive,” the single adds another dimension to the upcoming album Never Alone. Where the earlier track pushed outward, this one pulls inward. Together, they suggest a record that moves between those two spaces.
The band’s recording process plays a big role here. Tracking live sessions in Vermont allowed them to capture moments rather than construct them piece by piece. You can hear that immediacy throughout “Simple Life.”
Collaborations across the album, including appearances from Nicholas Payton and Skerik, point toward a broader sonic palette. Still, the focus remains on connection and chemistry.
With Never Alone set for release on May 1st, “Simple Life” feels like a grounding point. It doesn’t try to define the album entirely, but it gives a strong sense of its tone. The Nth Power are leaning into clarity, and it suits them.
