On June 20th, 2026, Railtown Rooftop Party featuring The Summerlight Stage (tickets) is back for another FREE, outdoor, art and music festival under the sun. After the 2025 edition hit full venue capacity, Light Organ Records, Strathcona Business Improvement Association, and the Railtown Coalition are excited to once again showcase Vancouver’s vibrant Railtown district, bringing music lovers, foodies, families and creatives together for one of the city’s unique community events. The event will take place from 3 pm to 10 pm at 611 Alexander Street in Vancouver, Canada.

Railtown Rooftop Party featuring The Summerlight Stage spotlights indie, alternative and genre-blending artists from Vancouver and across Canada. This year’s lineup includes event headliner and JUNO-nominated, indie pop act young friend, with support from genre-bending, post-fusion group Chopping Spree, hip-hop, afrobeat artist King Cruff, and breakout indie darlings DACEY.

The Railtown Rooftop Party is hosted at 611 Alexander St., an open-air, multilevel space in the up-and-coming area of Railtown, one of Vancouver’s most dynamic neighbourhoods. The event is a one-of-a-kind, summer experience showcasing live performances, local food vendors, artisan vendors, craft beverages and sponsorship activations curated to reflect the creative and playful spirit of Railtown. Railtown Rooftop Party’s inspired atmosphere invites attendees from all walks of life to settle in, soak up the sun and vibe amongst friends and neighbours in an authentic, joyful and safe environment.

Joseph Martin, General Manager of Light Organ Records and Summerlight Festival Producer, comments:

“Summerlight has always been about using music as a way to not only promote artists and have a great afternoon in the sun, but also create something that the Strathcona residential and business communities value and look forward to every year. We are thrilled to be back in Railtown for 2026, and I am personally very excited to see this lineup.”

Vincent Kwan, Executive Director of the Strathcona Business Improvement Association (SBIA), remarks:

“The SBIA is proud to be a partner in bringing the Railtown Rooftop Party to the community once again as part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening confidence in Strathcona as a vibrant place to do business, live, and explore. Events like this create meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to discover the diverse businesses that define our neighbourhood, and to find their next must-visit destination. There is a unique energy building in Strathcona, particularly in Railtown, and we’re excited to help bring more attention to the momentum shaping this neighbourhood.”

As part of the lead-up to this year’s festivities, Light Organ Records is also releasing Live at Summerlight Vol. 2, a compilation of Railtown Rooftop Party 2025 performances by Vancouver acts Sleepy Gonzales and Pinebarren. Sleepy Gonzales’ “Couch Song (Live at Summerlight)” and “Freaking Out (Live at Summerlight)” are now streaming on YouTube.
