Molly Majorack Appointed Talent Buyer at LA Music Lounge Teragram Ballroom
Los Angeles’ independent live music scene Teragram Ballroom has announced the appointment of new talent buyer Molly Majorack.
A longstanding institution in Los Angeles’ independent live music scene, Teragram Ballroom is announcing the appointment of new talent buyer Molly Majorack. Bringing with her years of experience, most recently booking venues throughout Orange County, Majorack will work closely alongside fellow Teragram Presents rooms, collaborating with The Bellwether’s Jordan Anderson and Moroccan Lounge’s David Murphy. This triad offers a unique pathway for growth in navigating acts through the sometimes intricate Los Angeles market.
Most recently, Majorack has been focused on Orange County, buying for the Observatory & Constellation Rooms in Santa Ana, House of Blues & The Parish in Anaheim, and Riverside Municipal Auditorium & Fox Performing Arts Center. Before coming to California, she was in Washington D.C., first booking U Street Music Hall for I.M.P. (9:30 Club) and later a variety of rooms for Live Nation. She is well versed in collaborations with agents, promoters and artists across a diverse range of genres, with an acute understanding of both the local scene and the national landscape.
Michael Swier of Teragram Presents states:
“I’m incredibly happy and excited to have her in the family. Molly’s reputation precedes her, as expressed by those who have personally worked with her and by the accolades the industry bestows upon her; we welcome her with arms wide open.”
Adds Molly Majorack, Talent Buyer for Teragram Ballroom:
“This role marries the two loves of my life: the city of Los Angeles and live music in a great venue. The opportunity feels like a dream realized, and I am so excited to put on amazing shows in such a legendary room. There is a kind of magic in seeing shows in intimate venues that keeps pulling me back in, and I’m very much looking forward to being a part of that magic all over again in a room as iconic as Teragram.”
Majorack follows behind prior Teragram Ballroom talent buyer Scott Simineaux, who is moving on from the position he has held since the venue’s inception.
Swier shares:
“During his eleven-year tenure, Scott has been a loyal defender and a fierce advocate for the Teragram, and most of all, he became a true friend. I wish him all the success he deserves in this next life.”
Teragram Ballroom is located on the border of Downtown LA and the Westlake neighbourhood at 1234 West 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017. For tickets and more information on upcoming shows, visit teragramballroom.com.
