Singer-songwriter-performer Marshall Oakman unveils the lyric video for “At The Boiling Point,” a track immersed in knuckles-out classic-rock swagger, bluesy surfaces, and retro flavors that’s been polished just enough to catch the light. The song reveals hints of power-pop that add vibrancy.

The 525 Media–produced video imbues the song’s urgency and emotional pressure, adding weight, translating its message into something that feels both proximate and cinematic.

Oakman’s origin story reads like the standard musician’s bio, but he sells it with his music: at six, he meets a piano, taps the keys, and suddenly sound becomes a portal to something magical. From there, it’s songwriting, then the slow grind of refining one’s craft, followed by years of performing live.

Oakman’s sound showcases lush pop-rock textures with harmonies reminiscent of the Beatles, blending timeless themes thoughtfully embraced with magnetic melodies.

He has performed at The Cabana in Long Beach, Reel in East Rockaway, Mulcahy’s in Wantagh, Jones Beach Bandshell, Kasey’s Rooftop in Rockville Centre, and Montauk Music Festival, as well as throughout the East Coast, including the New York metropolitan area, upstate New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

“At The Boiling Point” opens on a contagious melody made up of pop-rock and blues elements. Driven by Oakman’s sparkling honky-tonk-lite piano, the tune drips with pleasing, gritty dynamics. For some reason, the song conjures up suggestions of Billy Joel, with its vibrant storytelling and melodic complexity.

Oakman’s vocals are slightly rugged and show off a kind of polish that’s rough and authentic, yet easy to listen to.
