DEARDAN Stays Active With New Single “Rain on the Dancefloor”
DEARDAN continues to be very active, gracing listeners with yet another new song in 2026. The latest drop, “Rain on the Dancefloor”, is a vibe, plain and simple. It starts soft and emotive, with soulful reverb-rich vocals that provide the track authentic feel, something you could argue that you don’t always get in electronic music. The composition transforms from there into a hypnotic, beat-driven experience that is undeniable.
The Netherlands-based producer blends electronic sonic stylings with meaningful messaging to create his music. Inspired by a quote from the late philosopher Frantz Fanon, the new song is about finding your purpose and choosing your own path.
“Out of relative obscurity each generation must discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it.”
One of the most unique parts of the track is the use of Yoruba language, which is a direct nod to DEARDAN’s Surinamese roots. It adds a cultural and personal layer that adds more depth to the track. The “rain” in the track symbolizes letting go, washing away pressure, expectations, and anything holding you back.
With “Rain on the Dancefloor”, DEARDAN shows yet again that electronic music can make the listener dance and think at the same time.
Listen to “Rain on the Dancefloor”, now streaming everywhere.
