C’mon Tigre return with “Driver Idle (feat. Perry Maysun),” the second single from their forthcoming album, scheduled for release in 2026. Following the earlier track “K//A\K//A,” released on September 19th, 2025, “Driver Idle” was released on all platforms on Friday, April 24th, and marks another step toward a record that remains intentionally untitled and in flux, an evolving body of work shaped as much by live performance as by studio practice.

Today, the band unveils the stunning music video that accompanies the track. “Driver Idle” is about disorientation: not personal, but collective. A protagonist living inside a cell he doesn’t recognize as one, painting his face as an act of identity, finding his people by chance or by necessity, building something fragile and temporary alongside them.

The video suggests that when collective systems stop working, people don’t look for grand solutions: they look for micro-anchors. A point of contact. A recognizable presence. The woman, the van, and the shared dancing are all attempts to restore a minimal sense of direction inside a space that has become illegible. The ending resolves nothing, and that’s deliberate: home is not a fixed place. It’s a condition that gets built and lost, and sometimes it looks like something the world would call a crime.

The track features Perry Maysun, a New York–based rapper and songwriter whose prolific output, over twenty projects and more than 25 million streams, has established him as a singular voice in experimental alt hip-hop. His work is marked by a raw, introspective approach, often centred on themes of mental health, pain, and identity. In 2024, Maysun was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Throughout chemotherapy, he continued to write and record music from his hospital bed, ultimately ringing the bell cancer-free in October of that year. His contribution to “Driver Idle” carries this lived intensity, an articulation shaped by vulnerability, endurance, and presence.
