Boy Witch Unveils Hypnotic Single & Retro-Space Video “Echolalia”
“Echolalia” is the third single from Boy Witch’s self-titled debut album, ‘Boy Witch,’ set for release on April 17th, via Green Man Records.
“Echolalia” is the third single from Boy Witch’s self-titled debut album, Boy Witch, set for release on April 17. The neo-psychedelic track is driven by a steady, pulsing groove and rich, atmospheric melodies. Instead of drifting into pure dreaminess, it emphasizes tight rhythms, intentional repetition, and guitars that merge soft, hazy tones with more distorted elements, building into a nuanced and expressive solo.
The song is accompanied by a retro-style video featuring footage from NASA space missions, which is fittingly aligned with the current Artemis II mission.
With his debut album, Boy Witch conjures soundscapes that blur the line between dream and distortion. Rooted in psychedelic rock yet unafraid to wander into electronic and experimental territories, the Berlin artist creates a sonic world that feels both nostalgic and strikingly futuristic. Inspired by artists such as Wand, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Queens of the Stone Age, and Boards of Canada, the record weaves fuzz-laden guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and shimmering synth textures into deeply atmospheric compositions. Laid-back grooves slowly unfold before bursting into explosive, distortion-driven climaxes — gritty, ethereal, and immersive.
Released via Green Man Records, the debut album introduces a singular new voice in modern psychedelia — intimate, expansive, and impossible to ignore.
