On August 28, 2026, Hamburg’s alternative rock trio Billstead will release their debut album, aptly titled Debut. The album will be self-released and initially available digitally only, with a physical release planned for autumn 2026. Coinciding with the album announcement, Billstead will release their second single, “Where Did I Belong”—a melodic alternative rock anthem that showcases the trio’s strengths.
The trio describes their new single:
“Where Did I Belong is a song about the feeling of suddenly being a stranger in your own life after a betrayal—caught between anger, self-doubt, and the question of where you truly belong.”
“They say you spend forever working on your first album. It took me even longer to find the right people for my band. Now, the time has come—and it’s magical,” Hagen explains.
Billstead delivers alternative rock with explosive energy: hard-hitting riffs, odd time signatures, melancholy, and political messages—music to dance, lose control, cry, sing along, and celebrate to. Since January 2025, the trio has rehearsed twice a week with one goal: to bring their passion and energy tightly to the stage. After their first concerts in Hamburg and the surrounding area, one thing is clear: This is a band that ignites new fans with every show. Debut was recorded and produced by Clint Carl (Roobey Records).
Billstead on the upcoming release of Debut:
“We’re thrilled that our first album is finally coming out. Check our video and come to one of our concerts!”
