Seatfun, the invite-only, live event service built for venues, organizers, and festivals ready to scale smarter, has officially launched with a new app. Seatfun is transforming ticketing from a software to a service by acting as a trusted partner that directly impacts clients’ operations and bottom lines. Built on a rising-tides philosophy, Seatfun develops tools and features that disrupt outdated industry models and empower venues to thrive.

Founded in 2025 by Daniel Mastropietro (Chief Executive Officer) and Josh Misko (Chief Operating Officer) and headquartered in Nashville, TN and Cincinnati, OH, Seatfun is a mobile-first, operator focused and revenue optimized ticketing platform whose mission is to give venues, promoters, and festivals the tools and resources to meaningfully increase revenue, improve marketing, and elevate the customer experience. Seatfun reimagines the mobile box office because the future of events is not behind a desktop.

Seatfun has officially launched its full state-of-the-art app. The app’s features allow for users to create and manage events, sell tickets with optimized checkout flows, accept Apple Tap to Pay directly on the phone, scan tickets instantly with no extra hardware, build loyalty programs, own their customer data, run SMS marketing, track pixels across TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, and Google, get instant daily payouts, and so much more. Seatfun also boasts a marketing suite and fraud-prevention systems.

Seatfun was intentionally designed to be an invite-only platform. This decision was made to protect event quality, protect buyers, and protect venues in an ecosystem littered with ticketing scams on marketplace platforms.

In the first six months of operation, before officially announcing, Seatfun was adopted by over 100 event organizers of all sizes, validating that the demand for a modern, organizer-first ticketing alternative is both real and immediate. Seatfun has now raised funding at a multi-million-dollar valuation to continue building the next generation of ticketing — one focused on transparency, growth, and giving control back to venues and organizers.

Entering a market that often feels dominated by a few key players like Ticketmaster and Eventbrite, Seatfun champions the everyday person. The co-founders shared:

“In today’s live events landscape, venues are carrying more pressure than ever. Since COVID, artist fees haven’t gone down, but bar sales and ancillary revenues often have — and that gap falls almost entirely on venues and promoters. On top of that, streaming numbers don’t necessarily translate to ticket sales, creating additional risk, yet artist deposits and guarantees from major agencies have continued to climb.”

Misko sheds more light on the topic by saying:

“When Wasserman acquired Paradigm in 2021, I was a full-time talent buyer, and the sudden shift to 50% deposit requirements on artist bookings delivered a heavy blow to cash flow and significantly increased financial strain. Those COVID-era pricing and deposit structures never meaningfully adjusted, and what was once a more balanced risk model between buyers and agents shifted dramatically — leaving venues and organizers to shoulder the majority of the financial burden. Meanwhile, legacy ticketing models largely remained unchanged as venues and events shut down around the world, offering limited flexibility when their ‘partners’ needed it most… and don’t get me started on the predatory structuring of their advances and contracts.”

With Seatfun here to stay, clients can look forward to new quarterly features, meaningfully increased revenue, and a high-touch service that truly makes a difference to live events organizers.

To Mastropietro and Misko, a more equitable event industry is one where:

“Events organizers and ticketing companies should thrive together, or dive together. Seatfun was created by events organizers for events organizers, and one principle will always remain our North Star: put humans first, nurture real connection, and deliver meaningful value. Period. The rest is just technology.”

Born in 2003, V13 was a socio-political website that morphed into PureGrainAudio in 2005 and spent 15 years developing into one of Canada's (and the world’s) leading music sites. On the eve of the site’s 15th anniversary, a full relaunch and rebrand took us back to our roots and opened the door to a full suite of Music, Entertainment, and cultural content.
