Sacred Oath Celebrate 40 Years with Fifth New Single, “Tea and Witch Cake”

Celebrating 40 years this year, power thrash legends Sacred Oath have released a fifth single, “Tea and Witch Cake.” The song marks guitarist Damiano Christian’s first major contribution to the band’s substantial song catalogue. Christian has been in Sacred Oath since 2017.

Says Rob Thorne, the band’s founder and lead singer/guitarist:

“Damiano is a vital part of Sacred Oath these last several years, both on stage and in the studio. He’s been wanting to get involved in the writing process, and these riffs driving “Tea and Witch Cake” were so clearly rooted in our earliest years, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to offer one up for the original Oathbangers … perfect for continuing our 40th anniversary celebration.”

Sacred Oath plans to release a full album of new songs in 2026 and has been releasing singles and lyric videos throughout the recording process.

Thorne continues:

“It’s not the way we have released albums in the past, but things have changed. We’re all living in a streaming world and it’s so immediate these days. We’re having fun doing singles.”
