In OM Records’ latest offering, the bright, upbeat “Freedom” by Kaskade revives the nostalgic deep house sound, aided by steady beats, bright synths, and vocal chops, characteristic of several 2010s pop and EDM hits. Further brought to life by EZI’s dreamy vocals, Kaskade encapsulates the feeling of being alone at night on an open road – and the ability to completely let go and soak it all in – within an intricately crafted five-minute deep house anthem.

“Freedom” serves as the epic opening track of the label’s upcoming OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS project, a compilation album celebrating the label’s 30th anniversary, to be released on May 8, 2026. As OM Records looks forward to this landmark achievement, lyrics from the track such as “I wanna walk on the edge, feel the sun on my skin when it rises” and “this town is asleep, I’m awake, I bend to the wind when it changes,” set the tone for this compilation album’s overall theme and takeaways.

Reflects Kaskade:

“OM Records was the first label that believed in what I was doing. Thirty years later they’re still doing it right. I’m honored to celebrate this milestone with them.”

Previous singles from OM Records – 30 Years include “Summer Haze” from Samantha James and Late Night Alumni (along with the B-side “Closer”), “Stay On My Mind” from Mark Farina, Homero Espinosa and Dani Siciliano, “Do It Right” from Groove Armada, “The Sunshine” from Colette, Richard Earnshaw and Kenny Summit, and “Wind Trades” from J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and Carlos Araiza.
