Nemarca Announces New EP, ‘Falling All the Time’
Nemarca, the solo project of Boston-based artist and songwriter Anna Reidister, is set to release the EP ‘Falling All the Time’ on May 1st.
Nemarca, the solo project of Boston-based artist and songwriter Anna Reidister, is set to release the EP Falling All the Time on May 1, introducing the project through a spring rollout that unfolds across two singles before the full release.
On March 6, she will release the single, “Betsy’s Room,” followed by “Little Yellow Pill” on April 3rd. Then, on May 1st, the full EP will be unveiled.
Comments Reidister:
“I was in my early 20s writing these songs, around and during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a pretty crazy time. Your early twenties feel like a second adolescence in a way. My brain was still cooking, and the pandemic really warped my sense of time. I guess I was specifically investigating what hadn’t changed; any sort of through-line or consistency. Love was one of those through-lines. Each song is a love letter to someone specific in my life – a friend, a family member, an ex, and myself. It’s a highly intimate EP. It’s almost like a memoir. Each track feels like walking through a portal and being transported inside a memory.”
Built as a space for pushing sound, structure and story, Nemarca centers Reidister’s songwriting instincts while leaving room for experimentation in tone and production, pairing intimate writing with a curiosity-driven approach to arrangement and feel.
