Light The Moon Gives “Wonderwall” an Alt-Pop Makeover
Light The Moon is starting 2026 strong with a reimagined version of the classic song “Wonderwall” by Oasis. Covering such an iconic song isn’t easy, but this version manages to honor the original while delivering a completely fresh feel in a way that very few could pull off.
The artist, Light The Moon, is an alt-pop project led by multi-instrumentalist Kelly Green. Known for creating moody, synth-driven songs, Green brings a darker and more cinematic sound to this release.
Produced by Josh Cobb at Rockbot Studios, this new composition blends synths, piano, and guitar together to create its alt-pop sound all while keeping the spirit of the original song alive.
“I wanted to rebuild it from the inside out and make it entirely my own while honoring the original.”
Green says the goal wasn’t just to cover the song, but to recreate it through her own lens. In her words, “‘Wonderwall’ has always resonated with me. Everyone expects it when a guitar comes out at a party—but that’s part of its iconic appeal. I wanted to rebuild it from the inside out and make it entirely my own while honoring the original.”
Light The Moon shows us that even one of the most popular songs in music can still feel new with the right approach. The release makes for a strong take on a sing-along favorite and a great start to 2026.
