Head to the great kingdom of Saguenay for the 9th edition of la Noce, this time in full bloom and ready for pollination. The festival will once again be held in its legendary castle, La Pulperie, which will take on a Woodstock vibe for the occasion this summer, marking Chicoutimi’s 350th anniversary.

After a winter-themed year focused on wool, the festival is launching into a much more summery theme, as is customary: poppies! As dictated by the grand formal tradition of marriage, the universal symbol of eight years of union and all its petals will be in the spotlight. More than 15,000 festival-goers will gather in Saguenay for another year of memorable concerts and $10 weddings.

The lineup kicks off with daytime programming, featuring shows on the main stages of La Pulperie until 11 p.m. With Quebec music giants such as Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Les Louanges, Klô Pelgag, and Ariane Roy, international sensations including Macario Martínez, and Canadian stalwarts like Death from Above 1979, all featuring alongside rising local stars such as Angine de Poitrine and Éléonore Dessureault, la Noce de Coquelicot promises a totally unique atmosphere in Quebec during its three days of festivities.

A second announcement, including after-parties and more, will be made in April. These evening shows for die-hard partygoers will take place on alternative stages to those used during the day, and will have separate ticketing.

Passports and day tickets, giving access to the daytime program, go on sale on March 2 at 12:30 p.m.

The Noce golden ticket is still available—for the modest sum of $3—it gives passport and day ticket buyers a chance to win a LIFETIME passport to all future Noce events, until the end of time! The three winners to date have not regretted their investment, we promise.

It should also be noted that a charming delegation of music industry professionals from here and abroad will be taking part in the festivities.
