Swapmeet Release Latest Single “I Know!” via Winspear
Swapmeet announce their signing to Winspear and share a new single called “I Know!” a cathartic and buoyant track.
Swapmeet, 4-piece band from South Australia composed of Venus O’Broin (guitar, vocals), Joshua Doherty (bass), Maxwell Elphick (guitar, drums, vocals), and Jack Medlyn (guitar, drums, vocals), announce their signing to Winspear and share a new single called “I Know!” a cathartic and buoyant track that arrives ahead of the band’s US debut at SXSW in March.
Revved up with gleaming, fuzzy guitars and energetic percussion, “I Know!” blurs jangle pop, shoegaze, and alt-rock with a tongue-in-cheek precision that belies the song’s off-the-cuff origins.
O’Broin says of the track:
“‘I Know!’ was written accidentally – a song arising from an in-between practice jam. Unlike the other songs on the album, this song kind of wrote itself. The lyrics alike arose pretty spontaneously too, without much over-analysing or fluff. I Know! I Know! I Know! You know?”
