Queen Anne Premieres Their Crowd-Pleasing Single, “Watch Me Win It”

Showing an appreciation for many different eras of pop music, Queen Anne comes in hot today with the premiere of their new single “Watch Me Win It.” Very catchy and enormously radio-friendly, the song is endearing in so many ways. For a pop song, it is extremely musically diverse, featuring a kind of rockabilly influence within its modern indie pop structure. “The inspiration for ‘Watch Me Win It’ came when I had like three victory points in my hand during a game of Catan, and nobody had the slightest clue. They all pretty much counted me out because I only had a couple settlements, but then I built a city and turned over my development cards, and that was that.”

With just a few songs to their name thus far, Queen Anne are wasting no time proving their potential. Based in Los Angeles, they are an indie pop duo led by Silverman and her collaborator, veteran writer and producer Sandy Chila. Silverman has already established herself as a top young actress. Just newly turning 21, she has been acting ever since she was 5 years old. With credits in film, television, and theatre, Silverman has appeared in episodes of mainstream shows like Grey’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, General Hospital, and New Girl. She has now made a successful transition into music with Queen Anne, illustrating her impressive range of talents and creativity. The duo recently received attention and praise for their dynamic cover of David Bowie’s classic “Let’s Dance.” It received praise for its bold reinvention, not easy when you’re talking about an iconic song.
