Aggression can be overwhelming at times, but that’s what post-hardcore music was invented for! NRWHL arrive today with the premiere of the music video for their brand new single “All.” The song, featuring JustinDipperSatterfield, is a parody of traditional American backyard gatherings.

The affair is all rather understated, featuring all male attendees participating in childish activities such as playing with Nerf guns at a barbecue. Everyone is enjoying a soda or two while NRWHL vaults full-on right into an unexpected musical performance. You’d think it would be the catalyst to get the party started. Instead, their performance just ends up irritating everyone, but the band is determined, and they play on. It is a massive bolt of full-throttled vintage hardcore with a take-no-prisoners attitude to performance.

Discussing the song and its origins, guitarist Orion Hunke states:

“‘All’ was written at a pretty dark time in my life. I didn’t know what the future of the band was; our original drummer was moving across the country, and I was bummed to say the least. I didn’t know how to deal with this aggression, so I funnelled it into my riffs. Each riff came out faster and had more attitude than anything I had written before. I liked it! I wanted to just kick and punch to it.”

“All” will appear on the band’s upcoming debut EP Glory Be, which will be out on March 6th. Hailing from Prescott, Arizona, the band has a raw intensity like few others. With intensity as their core, they combine chaotic riffs, aggressive rhythms and make it into something wholly coherent. Originally just a small recording collaboration between some friends, NRWHL soon evolved into a full-on band. After some very positive reviews and feedback locally, they decided to try their hand at recording. Featuring six tracks, Glory Be was mostly written and recorded last summer. It is a hectic assembly of songs, energetic and full of passion.

Passion happens to be one of the main ingredients of NRWHL. They are a very dedicated conglomeration of musicians, with each member holding strong religious convictions. They view their participation in the band as an extension of their faith in God and Christianity. The band relishes the opportunity to represent their musical community as a devoted Christian post-hardcore group. They use their music as an outlet to promote vitality, energy, and devotion. For NRHWL, it’s all about authenticity, which is plentifully apparent in how this fine young band conducts itself.
