Berlin-based post-hardcore outfit Man Looking Man announces their signing to Octopus Rising and reveals their debut single “Samsara.”
“Samsara” introduces the band’s intense sonic identity, combining raw energy, visceral melodies and furious vocal expression into a powerful and emotionally charged sound.
The project originally took shape in 2013 when Maurizio Bergmann and Carlo Poy joined forces after years in the punk underground, developing a shared vision rooted in post-hardcore tension and experimentation. The band evolved significantly in 2020 with the addition of drummer Jacopo Marzola and lead guitarist Tommy “Ergo Sum” Romito, expanding their sound with crossover influences and a broader expressive range. With Nico Marin later completing the lineup, the band reached its definitive artistic direction.
Blending diverse musical experiences into a distinctive and uncompromising approach, Man Looking Man merges primal rhythmic force with explosive intensity and evocative atmospheres. The current lineup debuted live in 2024 under the name Angstrom before definitively adopting the name Man Looking Man.
The release of “Samsara” marks the first preview of the band’s debut album, scheduled for release in early 2026 via Octopus Rising/Argonauta Records.
