Arroganz unleash the opening track “Die for Nothing” taken from their forthcoming new album with the programmatic title Death Doom Punks as the first advance single in the shape of a disturbing music video. The seventh full-length of the German death doom punks has been scheduled for release on May 15th, 2026.

The video single “Die for Nothing” is out now.

Arroganz frontman K comments:

“This is the blade to kill all gods! The track ‘Die for Nothing’ is dedicated to all religious fundamentalists and political extremists. You are free to follow your stupid ideologies and to take your path of easy ‘answers’ – just do us all one last favour: poison yourselves and everyone who is with you. Kneel and praise the ‘gods’ that you created – and in the end, die for nothing!”

With their seventh full-length, Death Doom Punks, Arroganz deliver exactly what the title promises: the brutality of old school death metal meets the attitude and unpolished directness of punk. This album pulls no punches and hits straight into the gut and face.

The German trio has amplified 15 years of experience into a record that comes with their trademark sound but is confident and mature both in songwriting and storytelling. On Death Doom Punks, Arroganz are never afraid to let their influences shine through as they obviously made them their own. Driven by a heavy pumping bass and relentlessly whipped drum skins, the trio stacks massive riffs on top of each other and finishes any remaining resistance off with a barrage of deep-throated growls.

Arroganz’s lyrics reflect the personal, the philosophical, and social in a current state of world affairs that wrecks all certainties and takes all comfortable lies off the table. This way, darkness lies, and this is also reflected in Death Doom Punks.

Arroganz are back following a change in the trio’s lineup, and the death doom punks are ready to kick ass again! The East German trio from Cottbus has been hammering out their very own style and sound since 2008. What began as an aggressive and rough musical entity with raging blast parts and D-beats has, over time, widened its musical range to include dark and atmospheric moments as well as obscure doom passages.

Whatever Arroganz are doing, it always comes out at 100 percent while never forgetting the original roots in old school death metal. The trio’s unwillingness to compromise has been hailed by many and earned them the hate of others, about which they do not give the slightest… as authenticity and honesty in every aspect are their key traits.

Officially appearing on the scene with their debut full-length Dark and Deathless in 2011, Arroganz have since released five more acclaimed albums, with Quintessenz (2024) as their latest successful offering. Over the years, Arroganz have firmly established their brand as a crushing live act far beyond the boundaries of their native Germany.
