Tired of Fighting, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne’s emo-pop punk powerhouse, continues to push the boundaries of heartfelt, high-energy music with their new album, And Then Suddenly It Hits You, set to release on April 17, 2026, via U.S.-based indie label Punkerton Records.

And Then Suddenly It Hits You, the debut album from Tired of Fighting, is a cathartic journey through late-night reflections and raw emotion. From the stargazing, distortion-driven contemplation of “Night Dwellers” to the soaring vulnerability of “Albatross,” the album blends haunting melodies and intimate lyricism, but also bursts with intensity.

With standout moments like the aching duet “Tired of Failing” and the cacophony of “Out of the Forest,” it captures the beauty and weight of navigating loss, finding resilience, and searching for self-discovery.

And Then Suddenly It Hits You is an album that tackles grief, loss and deteriorating mental health. Opening track “Night Dwellers” erupts into life as a distortion-fueled lament to late-night introspection. The blend of pulsating noise and heartbreaking honesty continues with tracks like “Chocolate” and “Branches.” The collection concludes with “Albatross,” a psalm of acceptance echoing out, aching with vulnerability.
