Ricky Premiere Their Latest Single, “Don’t Get It”
San Diego slacker rock band Ricky premieres their new single “Don’t Get It” from their new DHCR album ‘What’s The Point.’
The modern world is a complicated place, and Ricky are not afraid to admit that with some things, they just “Don’t Get It.” Today marks the premiere of the band’s brand new single. It seems like every day you look at the news, there’s just more chaos and commotion to try to wrap your head around. That’s part of what this new single is dedicated to acknowledging. Catchy and easy to sing along with, “Don’t Get It” is 2026’s first new slacker anthem that every slacker can find some truth in.
Describing the song, the band tells us:
“First verse = things we don’t understand.
“Second verse = things we don’t physically get.
“Third verse = things we do get/understand.
“This concludes today’s lesson. Thanks for coming to our TED Talk.”
Based in San Diego, California, Ricky is a slacker rock band, specializing in punk, blues, and psychedelia. “Don’t Get It” will appear on the band’s brand new record, What’s The Point, set for release on March 27th via DHCR. Featuring eleven new tracks, the album will be particularly relatable to listeners who have experienced and understand what life is like in Southern California.
If you know what it’s like to toil in the lower echelons of life, then you’ll find a lot to like on this record. This will be Ricky’s third full-length studio album since the group’s formation in 2020. They have previously toured with good friends such as The Frights, Worriers, Tiny Stills, and Decent Criminal. The band has a tour centred around What’s The Point that will begin the same day as the record’s release.
If you identify as a slacker, or you just want some no-nonsense rock n’ roll, then Ricky has got you covered.
