Chronyx are a progressive metal band from the Maldives, and they just released their debut single “Ruin” via Legacy Studios. It’s a digital release, and it also happens to be the first song the band ever wrote, which makes it a clean introduction to what they’re about.
“Ruin” sits in a modern progressive lane with symphonic weight and a djent-driven pulse. The band describe it as a blend of symphonic, progressive, experimental and groove-heavy writing, built around tight rhythms, orchestral layers and melodic hooks. Lyrically, it looks at a world coming apart, but keeps its focus on resistance and unity under the wreckage.
The track was recorded at Legacy Studios and produced, mixed and mastered by guitarist Shahyd Legacy.
