With its brutal, ferocious, merciless approach, the forest makes for the perfect setting for Hell Comes Home’s latest music video. With the intense growls of singer Sam Simmons and the almost violent guitar riffs of Nick Stambuck, this is an instance where the song and accompanying video clip fit tightly hand in hand.
The song remains consistent with the duo’s influences, an amalgamation of the early days of thrash metal and 2000s and 2010s metalcore. Simmons and Stambuck make sure to acknowledge the greatness that came before them and the influence that greatness had on them.
Commenting on the song, Simmons states:
“‘Hell Comes Home’ is about reclaiming a life that was once swallowed by fear, doubt, or the ghosts of who you used to be. It’s the moment when you stop running, turn around, and drag your demons into the daylight. The track pulses with the energy of someone stepping back into their own skin, realizing that the dreams they abandoned are still alive and still waiting. ‘Hell Comes Home’ is the anthem of that rebirth—a declaration that taking back your life isn’t gentle, it’s a war, and you intend to win.”
That collision of metal’s best from the past and present meets on Hell Comes Home’s new studio album. Earlier this year, we helped to debut the band’s debut EP Dying Breed. Their following has grown exponentially since then, with Dying Breed exceeding 100,000 streams.
They have spent the better part of 2025 readying this debut full-length record. It will feature all of the brutal riffs, insane guitar solos, and fierce vocals you can handle. It’s another step in their evolution while remaining true to the influences that got them here. Featuring eight new songs, the album is relentless in its approach, with exceptional musicianship consistently on display. For a relatively new act, they sound very self-assured about the sound and style they are pursuing, and they do it to near perfection on their debut.
