Smag På Dig Selv Share Pulsating New Single “Vik’s Rawcore” [Premiere]
Danish trio Smag På Dig Selv unveil “Vik’s Rawcore,” a vibraphone-driven new single previewing their March 2026 album.
Danish trio Smag På Dig Selv are back to premiere another track from their upcoming 2026 album, unveiling their new single “Vik’s Rawcore,” out November 28 via Stunt Records. It’s the third track to surface from the record, and it marks a fresh move in their sound thanks to the introduction of vibraphonist Viktoria Søndergaard, who steps in as a guest with the band.
“Vik’s Rawcore” finds the trio explore two very different worlds. Firstly, the melodic side of Nordic jazz and, secondly, the hammering, industrial pulse of Dutch gabber. Furthermore, having spent time in Holland discovering the region’s underground culture, saxophonist Oliver Lauridsen brings that influence directly into the track’s high-energy heartbeat alongside the trio’s core setup of two saxophones and drums, adding new texture and space to their sound.

Speaking about the single, the band said:
“We‘re really excited to release this track! We like the contrasts in the music. We wanted to make a track that is interesting to listen to both in term of production and playing, but also could fit into a hardcore DJ set.”
One of Denmark’s most talked-about live acts, their blend of acoustic techno, punk-leaning momentum, and 90s dance energy has taken them to Roskilde Festival, SummerStage in Central Park, and global showcase events like SXSW, The Great Escape, and Eurosonic.
Alongside the new album arriving in March 2026, the band will head out on the Christiania World Tour, a global run inspired by their beginnings in Copenhagen’s iconic Freetown Christiania, where they first formed seven years ago.
With “Vik’s Rawcore,” Smag På Dig Selv keep smashing down musical barriers as they merge jazz, electronica, and underground grit into something that feels fully their own. Their 2024 debut album SPDS established them as a band known for pushing boundaries, and the upcoming record looks set to push even further.
