Max Cavalera discusses Soulfly’s new album ‘Chama,’ its creative inspiration, collaborations, the band’s family dynamic and upcoming tours.
Join Damian FitzGerald as he sits down with metal legend Max Cavalera of Soulfly to dive deep into the band’s explosive new album Chama, released via Nuclear Blast. Max opens up about the writing and recording process, the raw inspiration behind the record, and what it was like working with special guests, including Dino Cazares from Fear Factory.
Max also shares the unique family dynamic within Soulfly, with his sons Zion and Igor playing pivotal creative and musical roles. Max reflects on the evolution of the iconic Soulfly logo, their upcoming tour plans, and the making of the adrenaline-fuelled UFC-themed music video.
Finally, Max shares his hilarious take on surviving a zombie apocalypse armed with a flamethrower and blasting Soulfly at full volume.
