ELEVATE Music Project (from The MRG Group) Returns to Vancouver!

MRG Live is proud to announce the return of the ELEVATE Music Project, an initiative created by The MRG Group, designed to revitalize Vancouver’s live music scene and support local emerging artists.

ELEVATE Music Project kicks off in November 2025 at the Biltmore Cabaret with four preliminary nights (Nov 27, Dec 4, Dec 11, and Dec 18). Each night of competition will be adjudicated by a panel of industry professionals, who will also provide feedback to performers. From the preliminary rounds, the six artists with the highest scores will move on to play at the semi-final event on January 8th, with three advancing acts moving on to compete for the top prize at the Vogue Theatre on January 22, 2026.

The three finalists selected to play at the Vogue Theatre will perform for the chance to win custom prize packages, which will include funding and strategic partnerships with experienced industry professionals to aid in their development. Prizes in 2024 totalled over $50,000, with the winning act of ELEVATE Music Project receiving a showcase at Departure in Toronto (flights provided), an article in BeatRoute Magazine, a cash prize, and more.

ELEVATE is excited to announce that MusiCounts has signed on to return as the official charity partner. MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards, is keeping music alive across Canada by putting musical instruments into the hands of children who need them most.
