Coda Music, the fan-powered streaming platform built on transparency and human taste, today announced the rollout of new AI identification tools designed to label AI artists, empower fan oversight, and give listeners full control over their experience.

As generative music floods the industry, Coda is taking a proactive stance: every artist added to the platform will be reviewed for AI origins. When identified, their profile will be clearly labelled as “AI ARTIST,” ensuring fans know when they’re listening to machine-generated music.

But Coda isn’t stopping there. Recognizing that no system can catch everything, the platform is inviting fans to participate in the identification process. If a user suspects an unlabeled artist is AI-generated, they can flag the profile for review. That signal goes directly to Coda’s internal team for investigation and action.

In addition, Coda is giving fans the power to opt out of AI music entirely. A new toggle in settings allows users to turn AI music on or off. When set to off, all identified AI content becomes ineligible for autoplay, radio, and generative playlists – putting human taste back in the driver’s seat.

Founder and CEO of Coda Music, Randy Fusee, states:

“This isn’t just a feature drop. It’s a values statement. Fans deserve to know what they’re hearing, and artists deserve a platform that respects their voice.”

Coda’s AI identification system is now live on both iOS and Android. The company invites fans, curators, and artists to help shape its ethical approach to technology — one flag, one playlist, one choice at a time.
