City and Colour, acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Dallas Green, will release Sometimes Lullaby via Dine Alone Records on Friday, November 28th, available digitally and on limited edition vinyl as part of Record Store Day Black Friday. A full-album collection of dreamy lullaby renditions of songs from Green’s beloved debut Sometimes, the record was arranged and recorded with longtime friend Erik Hughes (Moneen).

The album will be available in two vinyl variants: a limited Red / Bone Swirl pressing and a standard black edition. Both go live on November 28th at 10 am EST via the City and Colour webstore and will also be available in person at the Dine Alone Store (864 Eastern Ave., Toronto) from 9 am to 6 pm EST that same day, with remaining copies hitting the Dine Alone webstore on November 29th at 10 am EST. Variant details and the tracklist are below. Alongside the vinyl release, a special Sometimes Lullaby merch capsule will launch at store.cityandcolour.com, featuring children’s clothing and accessories, a knit blanket, a music box, and an embroidered adult crewneck.

Initially recorded several years ago and set aside when the pandemic hit, the project was revisited and finally found its moment in celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary. Sometimes Lullaby offers a whimsical take on the songs that first introduced City and Colour to the world. As City and Colour has grown, so has the audience. With more fans now bringing their children to concerts, a lullaby version of “Sometimes” felt like a fitting way to honour the record’s legacy and the families who have grown up with it.

The album’s artwork was designed by Olivia Mew of Stay Home Club, who reimagined the original “Sometimes” cover in an American folk art style called Redwork, a form of embroidery traditionally used to teach children how to stitch.
