Alexisonfire Announce Live Album, ‘House of Strombo (LIVE in Toronto, ON 2019)’

Alexisonfire is set to release House of Strombo (LIVE in Toronto, ON 2019) on Friday, November 28th, arriving digitally and on a range of limited physical formats to coincide with Record Store Day Black Friday.

Captured during an intimate 2019 performance for George Stroumboulopoulos’ celebrated House of Strombo series, the set finds the band in ferocious live form, tearing through a career-spanning selection of songs in a sweat-soaked room of diehard fans. A sharp contrast to their usual arena-sized stages, the performance marked a milestone comeback for the band, who recently released their first original track in ten years, “Familiar Drugs,” the same night.

Says George Stroumboulopoulos:

“Fuck yeah! I have endeavoured to make my living room the best venue in the world, so I couldn’t be more excited for the legends that are Alexisonfire to release their live performance from that very living room.”

The release will be available across three vinyl variants and a limited VHS, timed with Record Store Day Black Friday. The Artist Exclusive variant will be available exclusively on Alexisonfire’s webstore starting November 28th at 10 am ET. The Dine Alone Exclusive will be available in-person at the Dine Alone Store (864 Eastern Ave., Toronto) on November 28th between 9 am and 6 pm ET). House of Strombo (LIVE in Toronto, ON 2019) arrives on the heels of their recent covers EP, Copies of Old Masters Volume 1, a four-track collection where, true to form, the band puts their unmistakable stamp on reimagined versions of songs from beloved 90s Canadian bands including The Tragically Hip, Doughboys, Shallow North Dakota, and Rusty.
