With less than a week to go until Pitchfork Music Festival London 2025, let’s dive into some of the most exciting events taking place over the 4th-8th of November. In the last 5 years, Pitchfork have mastered the multi-venue festival approach, allowing multiple events to take place all over the city. The festival is a celebration and a reflection of the publication’s eclectic and culturally relevant outlook on music. Over the course of 4 days, 80+ artists will be performing across 18 of London’s favourite venues.
With over 20 events taking place, here are my five must-sees. On Thursday the 6th, from Brooklyn to the world, 10k Global at Colour Factory. 10k Global, founded in 2016, is a homegrown indie label founded by the legendary MIKE. Just shy of 10 years in the game, MIKE has built this label from the ground up, signing artists like Sideshow, Niontay, Anysia Kym, Jespfur, Jadasea and more. All of whom will be performing at this show. Expect to hear trap, introspective raps, jungle and experimental rock.
On the same night Los Thuthanaka, Nazar and Pollyfromthedirt take over the ICA for a night of experimental music. Bolivian duo Los Thuthanaka bring a contemporary take on Andean music whilst Manchester based artist Nazar shares his electronic take on the Angolan kuduro genre. This incredibly inventive programming sets Pitchfork apart from its competitors.
On the 7th, Camden’s Roundhouse hosts an evening of left field R&B championed by the scene’s most exciting talent. Headlining the night is Oklou with support from Erika De Casier and Malibu. Oklou’s full-length debut album Choke Enough was released earlier this year and cemented the French artist as a staple of the sound. On top of this already iconic lineup, Nick León, Loukeman, and holybones will be performing at the Roundhouse’s secondary stage. This show has burned a hole in the calendars of alt-electronic pop fans nationwide.
On the same night, Belgian harpist and modular synth wizard Nala Sinephro headlines the iconic Royal Festival Hall. Nala is set to play her groundbreaking album Endlessness front to back with some help from Yussef Dayes and Ezra Collective’s James Mollinson. Those who have seen Nala Sinephro live will know this cannot be missed.
Back at The Roundhouse, we see Laurie Anderson, Lonnie Holley, Maria Sommerville, Beatrice Dillon, Lauren Duffus and Elaine Howley bring the festival to a close. This night is packed with all generations of musical innovators, from the mythical Lonnie Holley to rising star Lauren Duffus.
