Frustration is a serious (and perhaps growing) aspect of the world’s current social climate, and Maverix has chosen their new song “I Hate You All” as their way of offering their two cents on the issue.

This is the latest single from the Italian punk band as they gear up for a big year ahead. The song is the first single from their still yet to be titled EP, which they are preparing to release in early 2026. Hate may seem like a strong word, and it is. But there’s more behind the message of the song than just raging for rage’s sake. It’s more of a commentary on our current state of affairs.

Commenting on “I Hate You All,” the band states:

“‘I Hate You All’ is a raw and ironic outburst against conformity and social façades. The song expresses the discomfort of feeling out of place in a world that looks perfect only on the surface. It’s bold, provocative, and unfiltered—because sometimes hate is just the loudest way to say we don’t want to be like everyone else.”

A relatively new act, Maverix formed a couple of years ago in South Milan. A trio that plays like a quintet, the band features Niccolò Cagnoni on guitars and vocals, Matteo Bonini on bass, and Alberto Dragoni on drums. They have made good use of their time together, both in building a fanbase and in the positive response they have received to their music. The band released their debut album COWPUNK! in the fall of 2023 via Rocketman Records.

A brisk, fast-paced album, the band makes a nice opening statement in just over 26 minutes of their unique combination of alternative rock and punk. There are also a few country influences, which really make COWPUNK! the perfect album title. You can expect more singles to come as we get closer to the release of their new EP. With their classic punk spirit and energy and their dynamic songwriting style, it would seem like a good time to tune into what Maverix have going on.
