Lamb Of God have announced their signing with Century Media Records and released “Sepsis,” their first new original music since 2022’s Omens. Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, the three-and-a-half minute track is accompanied by a lo-fi performance video directed by Gianfranco Svagelj, filmed in Richmond.

The GRAMMY® Award-nominated band describe “Sepsis” as a reflection of their underground roots. Guitarist Mark Morton said the track celebrates Richmond acts such as Breadwinner, Sliang Laos and Ladyfinger, groups that inspired their earliest music when performing as Burn the Priest.

Speaking about the influence, Morton explained:

“Though they never got widespread attention outside of Richmond, those were the bands we listened to all the time. The song references that stuff in a way that’s a direct line to where we were coming from when we were in the basement writing our earliest material together.”

The band’s schedule continues with several major appearances ahead. Lamb Of God are confirmed for the Headbangers Boat cruise, taking place from October 31 to November 4, 2025, departing Miami with a stop in Cozumel. The floating festival will include Clutch, Power Trip, Obituary, Fear Factory, The Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver and more.

For UK fans, Lamb Of God will headline the Friday main stage at Bloodstock Open Air Festival on August 7th, 2026.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
