Jessie Murph Celebrates 21st Birthday with Sold-Out, Electrifying Vancouver Show [Photos]
Jessie Murph celebrated her 21st birthday with an audience of adoring fans at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver.
Jessie Murph played her first show in Vancouver at a sold-out Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
The gender bender sensation brought fans of all ages to the theatre and even caused some modifications to the setup of the venue, where the first few rows of seats were removed, providing a better configuration for these types of concerts.
Along with her, she brought Illinois native, Stella Lefty, whose nice voice and love-crowded lyrics served as a great appetizer for the fans. She performed songs such as “Grace,” “Decay,” “See Through,” and “Cynic,” all from her first EP, Tragic, Really.
There was a black curtain covering the stage, saving it for Jessie Murph. The singer, who on the day of her 21st birthday, came out on a pink stage with four male dancers. She opened her set with “Gucci Mane,” having the singing and dancing in perfect harmony.
There was a clear excitement in Murph’s face during the performance; she was enjoying it as much as the fans who sang every song and stood up for the entire show.
Jessie continued putting on an excellent show for the crowd, and midway through, she hopped off the stage and met the fans at the pit, where they sang “Happy Birthday” to her and joined her for half a song until she returned to the stage.
She went through almost her entire discography, featuring songs like “How Could You,” “Sex Hysteria,” “It Ain’t Right,” “The Man That Came Back,” and “Donuts,” which she mixed with “Nokia” by Drake at the end.
She closed her set with “Ur Bill Is Big as Fuck” and “Blue Strips.”
Even though there was no encore on this show, with over 25 songs performed, the fans were more than satisfied.
