London-based indie-rock quartet away fans are back with their new single, “Keeping On”, a blistering fusion of post-punk attitude and gritty determination that promises to get you dancing, screaming, and misbehaving.

Following two successful UK tours and a trio of headline shows in New York, away fans have channelled the sweat-soaked energy of their live performances, which have been described as “infectious dirty dance driven by propulsive disco rhythms,” into the new single.

The new track marks a departure from the band’s previous releases with a heavier focus on electronic dance elements blended into live band performance. The single is also the band’s first collaboration with singer SEY.MOUR..

Speaking about the single, vocalist Tom Fisher said:

“The song is about that moment post-argument with your partner, when the initial anger has faded and you just wanna sort things out but don’t know how. That sort of malaise when you’re desperate to get back to how things were but aren’t quite sure how to get there.”

Taking inspiration from bands like Primal Scream and The Prodigy, “Keeping On” finds away fans blending programmed drums with live instrumentation, with the end result being a track that pulses with the spirit of the Madchester rave scene while dripping in London grit.
