Aerosmith and Yungblud have released “My Only Angel (Desert Road Version),” a reimagined and stripped-back take on the lead track from their forthcoming collaborative EP, One More Time, out November 21st via Capitol Records. The new version features a special guest performance by Steve Martin on banjo.

“My Only Angel (Desert Road Version)” reinterprets the original song’s emotional depth with a more intimate, organic arrangement. During recording sessions, Steven Tyler envisioned the addition of a banjo to bring a unique texture to the track and personally invited GRAMMY® Award-winning musician and actor Steve Martin to contribute.

The original “My Only Angel” marked Aerosmith’s first new music in more than twelve years and served as the introduction to the five-track collaboration between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inductees and British multi-platinum artist Yungblud.

Yungblud first connected with Aerosmith during a studio session for a feature on Hello Heaven, Hello,” sparking a full collaborative effort that became the One More Time EP. Produced by Matt Schwartz, the release includes four original tracks co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud, along with a newly remixed version of “Back In The Saddle.” Matt Sorum (ex-Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver) provides drums throughout the project.

The upcoming EP follows their joint performance at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards and highlights the unique chemistry between Aerosmith’s legendary musicianship and Yungblud’s modern rock energy.
