Pianist and composer Anthony D’Alessandro is proud to announce the release of his second album, City Lights, arriving October 24, 2025. Following his acclaimed 2024 debut Searchin’, the Toronto-based artist continues to expand his creative horizons with a collection of original compositions and reimagined stride piano classics.

City Lights is inspired by the many cities where D’Alessandro has lived and performed, capturing the energy, mystery, and excitement of urban exploration. The album shines a spotlight on the next generation of jazz talent, featuring trumpeter Summer Camargo (the youngest member of the Saturday Night Live band), New York-based tenor saxophonist Jacob Chung, bassist Jonathan Chapman, and JUNO-winning drummer Ernesto Cervini. Vocal powerhouse Jennarie also makes a guest appearance on the ballad “Oversight,” co-written with D’Alessandro.

The album unfolds like a musical suite, blending seven original works with fresh takes on stride piano classics by James P. Johnson, including “Charleston” and “Harlem Strut.” From the driving rhythms of “Four Minute Mile” to the introspective “Staying the Course” and the evocative title track “City Lights,” D’Alessandro and his band deliver a project that celebrates jazz history while pushing the music forward.

Recorded live off the floor in true old-school fashion, City Lights captures the immediacy and authenticity of a band in full flight, offering listeners an unfiltered window into their dynamic interplay.
