Wakyin Returns with Melodic House Jam, “Peligrosa”
Wakyin is back to present his melodic sound twinged with his roots within Dominican and Puerto Rican culture on brand new summer-ready anthem “Peligrosa” – out this month on the renowned Ultra Records.
Following the viral success of his 2023 release “Beso,” Wakyin is back to present his melodic sound twinged with his roots within Dominican and Puerto Rican culture on brand new summer-ready anthem “Peligrosa” – out this month on the renowned Ultra Records.
After lighting up dancefloors worldwide with his 2023 hit “Beso,” now sitting at over 145 million streams, Wakyin is back, turning up the heat with his brand-new single “Peligrosa.” Blending the deep pulse of house, the earthy rhythms of afro house and the sweeping emotion of melodic house, “Peligrosa” is already causing a stir. It’s been popping up in comment threads, sparking discourse online, and finding its way into the sets of heavyweights like Adam Port, &ME, Gordo and more.
From the very first beat, “Peligrosa” pulls you in – layered percussion, a rolling low-end, and a vocal line that wraps itself around your mind until you’re humming it hours later. It’s the kind of track that feels just as electric under club lights at 3 am as it does drift out across a festival crowd at sunset.
Out via Ultra Records, the single comes with a full-scale push: with early signs of support from some of the top DJs in the afro scene but also on a wider scale, as well as from dance focused radio stations in his home country of the US but around the world, thanks to “Peligrosa” and its intercontinental feel.
With “Peligrosa,” Wakyin proves once again that he knows precisely how to create music that moves both the body and the heart, and this one’s set to be a summer essential.
