Rose of the World Drops Debut Single “Amen2”

Rose of the World are a post-hardcore band from New York City featuring ex-Quarrels frontman Cory Best on vocals.

Their first single, “Amen2,” is the lead single from the band’s upcoming debut full-length album, due out in late 2025. On “Amen2,” the guitars both roar with fuzz and chime gently, while pummeling drums drop in, out, and back in with thunderous force. The band’s use of quiet/loud dynamics honours their influences, Sunny Day Real Estate and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.

“‘Amen2’ was written as a sequel to my old band Quarrels’ song Amen. The first line of ‘Amen2’ ‘destiny, smile on me’ is the chorus of Amen. After years of reflection, I realized that it may be vain to ask for anything at all. Or is the asking itself part of fate too? This is a song about dark contemplation, depression, addiction, apocalypse, fate, and finally finding a way out.”
