American songwriter Paul Dally shares his new single “Revelator.” The new song marks Paul’s first release of the year with R&R, following his 2024 EP Moonlit Breakers, which features R&R labelmate Dijon, who Dally joined on tour in 2022.
His first offering for his new label finds him among familiar company, after captivating the likes of both Dijon and Mk.gee, who both asked Dally to open their respective LA shows. “Revelator” opens closely anchored to the heft of Dally’s voice, and slowly expands outward with runaway harmonica flourishes, subterranean bass, beckoning claps and a growing chorus of vocals.
The song also arrives with a smouldering live visual by acclaimed director and Mk.gee & Dijon collaborator Danica Arias Kleinknecht. “Revelator (Live)” strips the track down to its mere essentials, solely featuring Dally performing the song with an acoustic guitar and friends, riding the song’s notes until the final embers of dusk burn out.
