Nintendo Kicks Off Their 2025 Summer Sale

Nintendo is doing what? That’s right. Nintendo has begun its summer sale, which will run until July 9th. It’s not every day we get a Nintendo sale, so make sure you stock up. Whether you just bought a Switch 2 or own the original Switch, here are some games that I believe are worth your time and money!

Starting with Super Mario Odyssey. Although many people already own this game as it released in 2017, if you don’t already, you should. This game was a blast to play when it came out and for anybody looking for a 3D platformer, this is the one you should buy. It is currently on a 33% discount and sitting at $54 CAD, even though it’s from 2017, it is a great choice to pick up!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that had the world in a chokehold during the COVID-19 pandemic, and although the world isn’t completely indoors, this game is still great for fans of cozy games. Everything from farming, to decorating to fishing this game is a great game to sit down and play for long lengths and short lengths with the games built in synchronized time cycle. The base game is currently on sale for 30% off at $56 CAD or you can get it with the DLC for $79.08 CAD.

My last recommendation for the Nintendo Summer Sale may be questionable, but Monster Hunter Rise and the Sunbreak DLC as a package for $26.59 CAD is a steal and a half. I was a big fan of Rise when I found a weapon I enjoyed. The games lack of cutscenes allowed me to do what I loved most in Monster Hunter games; hunt the monsters. If you’re looking for a game that will take hundreds of hours to fully complete, with an array of weapons for you to choose from. Monster Hunter Rise is a game that you will fall in love with and struggle to get bored of.

This list is far from the only games in the Nintendo Summer Sale. Featuring first party titles, third party titles, cozy games and action RPG games. This sale features a wide variety of games that are must haves for Nintendo Switch owners, and as I said earlier. We don’t see Nintendo sales often, so get in while sales last!
