midwxst Announces Headlining North American Tour

Following the release of his sophomore album archangel, midwxst announces his fall headline North American tour. Launching September 23rd in Indianapolis, he’ll be taking his discography to Chicago, Montreal, New York City, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, July 11th, at 10 am local time via http://midwxst.com/tour.

In various religious traditions, the “archangel” is a high-ranking angel often seen as a healer, protector, and chief messenger. The aspirational name and concept for the album align with the young artist behind the music, who is working to put himself in that position for his family and his community. Speaking about archangel, midwxst shares:

“archangel is more than a project to me. It’s a representation of change and transformation from all that I’ve experienced in the last couple of years. The music on this project talks about my mental health, my friendships, and my family. There is a lot of hurt and growth – this project is a testament to the importance of healing and moving forward.”

The new album features a more mature midwxst and finds him refining his sound for this new era. midwxst shares:

“With this project, I have integrated all of the eras of my sounds from SUMMER03, Secrets, and E3, into a more mature, accurate sonic encapsulation of who I am today.”

archangel follows midwxst’s previous project, BACK IN ACTION 4.0., the latest in midwxst’s mixtape series known for its apocalyptic production and explosive vocal performances, as well as his critically acclaimed debut album E3, which provided listeners a path forward through relationships, identity formation, and the internet.
