Enough, the debut album from Nashville singer-songwriter Mary-Clair, reveals her gift for creating contemporary Christian pop music that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of modern Christian music, elevating it to a new category that might be described as ‘inspirational pop.’

Enough provides a sonic realm for listeners to feel significant, a musical place where they are heard, seen, and appreciated, especially young girls.

Mary-Clair explains, “I want her to know that it’s possible to listen to fun music and not have to give up certain values. These are songs that I poured my heart out into, and I just think that they are so timely in our world today, both musically and lyrically. Sometimes I listen to it and think, I can’t believe this is me. This is too good to be true.

Mary-Clair started writing songs in her early teens. Her influences included both faith-based and secular artists, spanning the spectrum from CeCe Winans and DC Talk to Aerosmith and Queen.

Working with double Grammy-winning producer Tedd T, she sculpted her inimitable sound. Now, with more than 5,000,000 streams, she has established herself as a tour de force.

Encompassing 14 tracks, entry points on Enough include the intimate opening song, “Your Love,” a blend of pop with hints of folk flavors, vaguely reminiscent of Sheryl Crow, only richer and more enveloping.

A personal favorite because of its delicious flowing impetus, “Homesick” travels on luscious country-pop surfaces, at once plush and bouncy, highlighting Mary-Clair’s creamy, lustrous vocals.

Simultaneously colored with darker tones, yet with a shimmering essence, “Red Eye” finds Mary-Clair unveiling the softer, sighing textures of her voice. “There’s A God,” perhaps the best track on the album, because of its gorgeous, swaying melody, swells on low-slung, spellbinding textures, topped by Mary-Clair’s fragrant, evocative voice.

Another favorite because of its beautifully tender melody, “Heaven In The Way” flows on velvety, layered surfaces as Marcy-Clair’s voice displays profound emotional vulnerability. The woman can sing.

Still” closes the album, opening on sparkling notes leading to sweeping strings that glow with quixotic suffusions, while Mary Clair’s vocals imbue the lyrics with the delectable substance of unwavering love.

Warm and sublimely arranged, Enough immerses listeners in gilded melodies enhanced by the celestial voice of Mary-Clair.
