King of Cups Releases Spirit-Fuelled Single, “Waited”
Post-hardcore band King of Cups has released “Waited,” the fourth single from their upcoming EP ‘Elemental.’
Emerging post-hardcore/alternative band King of Cups has released their powerful new single, “Waited,” the fourth installment from their highly anticipated Elemental EP. Representing the element of spirit, “Waited” is an emotionally charged track that channels both high-octane energy and ethereal introspection, blending influences reminiscent of Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Saosin with lush, atmospheric textures.
“Waited” showcases King of Cups’ signature dynamic approach, weaving soaring choruses and layered guitars with mellow, reverberated verses and ambient synths. The song explores themes of longing, connection, and searching for something more, both in relationships and in life.
“Did you know that my soul it burns for you?
Did you know that at night I’ve been waiting for you?”
These opening lines set the tone for a track that wrestles with hope and heartache. The song’s emotional lyrics and cinematic arrangements make it a standout piece in the broader Elemental narrative, which ties each track to a classical element.
Bryan Underwood comments:
“‘Waited’ embodies spirit. It’s about the unseen force that drives us forward, even when things feel out of reach. The song moves from reflective verses into explosive choruses, representing that inner push to keep believing in something bigger than yourself.”
Elemental will be released in the fall, and “Waited” follows the success of the band’s previous singles, “Watch the World Burn,” “Missing You,” and “Back to You,” each tied to its own elemental theme. Fans can expect an EP full of dynamic songwriting, emotional depth, and a sonic palette that blurs the line between post-hardcore intensity and ethereal ambience.
