Perth’s nu-metal titans Indigo Blaze are back with the bouncing “PUMP IT” ahead of their debut EP coming this October. With support from Wall of Sound, Aus Music Scene, AAA Backstage, and key Spotify playlists like New Nu, Adrenaline, Homegrown & Heavy and All New Metal, the band saw a 3000%+ Spotify stream surge in 2024. “PUMP IT” cements their furious fusion of Beastie Boys playfulness and Limp Bizkit aggression and is the third of four singles set to confirm this band as a rising powerhouse.
Formed in the blue collar suburbs of south-east Perth, Western Australia, Indigo Blaze have been bringing their new take on nu-metal blending early ’00s Limp Bizkit heaviness and playful ’90s Beastie Boys vocal stylings all with an Australian uniqueness.
“Pump It” sees Indigo Blaze doing what they do best, taking the golden days of nu-metal and launching it into 2025 with a style uniquely their own.
The band comments:
“‘Pump It’ is a return to the more playful bouncy sound we previously established with older tracks like ‘We Don’t Miss’ and ‘CRITICAL HIT.’ This is one to get you banging your head and is inspired by WWE and footy big hit compilations. Lyrically this one touches on the desire for success and feeling like you’re against the clock to make things happen. ‘Pump It’ is all about the fun, see you in the pit!”
